• Therefore, Ashuri, Estrangela and Serta should be seen as historical developments from each other, rather than individual isolated alphabets. It is much more instructive and informative to learn them in turn, pointing out their differences and what they have in common, rather than to study them as stand-alone alphabets. This is the approach we have taken for these lessons.
