• Similarly, Estrangela is still alive and well today. It was certainly in use at least two centuries before the time of Jesus, and has been used ever since. It is still used today for some modern printed editions of the Peshitta, as well as for the Peshitta databases in Bible study software such as BibleWorks and Accordance.
• Similarly, although Serta “only” started to be used around the 5th century A.D., it too has continued in use ever since. Modern scribes today still produce Peshitta texts hand-written in the Serta script, and nearly all published editions of the Peshitta Old and New Testaments from the 1500s onwards through to the 1900s, used Serta extensively. And Serta is used today in Logos Bible Software.
