• So let's get started! In the next few lessons, we will introduce you to the historical background of the Serta script - how it arose, when it arose, and why it arose. We will also look at the overall differences between Ashuri, Estrangela and Serta, and see the "bigger picture" behind what is different about Serta. We will take a look at some of the resources that will become available to you if you take the time and trouble to learn the Serta script.
• Then we will go through each of the letters in the Serta alphabet one by one, and show you how each letter differs from the corresponding letter in the Ashuri and Estrangela alphabet. Serta brings its own unique complications and simplifications to the written Aramaic language. There are Practice Sheets for each of these letters, just as there were for the Ashuri and Estrangela letters.
