The (Aramaic) Church of the East
- In the last lesson, we saw that the Gospel - that is, Christianity - spread EAST, as well as west. We saw that the Gospel message, and the Aramaic New Testament, had spread as far east as India, as early as A.D. 52. It was taken there by the disciple Thomas, who became the patron saint of Christianity in India. From there, it spread even further east, into China and Mongolia, just a few centuries later.
