• In this series of lessons on the Serta script, therefore, we highly recommend that you study these lessons only AFTER you have studied the Ashuri and Estrangela lessons, and once you know those two scripts well. This will make Serta script a much more natural extension of those previous scripts.
• The wisdom of this approach will become clear as your knowledge of Aramaic grows. You will know and understand Aramaic at a much deeper level, as one single language that has stood relatively constant over time. You will be aware of the differences, but those differences will enhance your overall understanding of the Aramaic language. You will be able to read and understand Aramaic from many different time periods effortlessly.
