• Scrolls written in Aramaic make up almost the remaining 20% of the overall Dead Sea Scrolls. This again demonstrates the importance of Aramaic in everyday use, as both a spoken and written language, as we have seen throughout the previous lessons on the Assyrian, Babylonian, Persian, Greek and Roman Empires.
